Together "we" can make a difference in Tipper’s life.
"Together For Tipper" is a group of Tipper’s family and friends formed to put on this benefit to help Tipper and his family with future medical/special needs. We would gladly accept the gift of your participation on December 12, 2009, at the Delcambre Shrimp Festival grounds, in Delcambre, La. All proceeds from this event will be placed into a special needs Trust for Tipper’s future needs. Currently, there is an account established at Gulf Coast Bank (Acct.# 1053019) for the fundraising benefit.
Christopher "Tipper" Esponge is the son of Marcelle Alexander and Chris Esponge and graduated from Delcambre High School in 2009. Tipper, an avid hunter, fisherman, and sportsman, decided to dedicate his life to serving our country. Tipper’s life changed on August 25th, 2009, during basic training when he was injured in a routine drill at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia. Tipper fractured his C5 vertebra and is paralyzed from his chest down.
Since his accident, Tipper has received physical therapy at the Shepherd Center located in Atlanta, Georgia. He is now at the VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. With his positive attitude, Tipper is working to overcome odds and will continue to progress. That’s where "we" can help.
